The Magician Tarot Wall Hanging – Thread Art on Canvas (11 × 14 in / 28 × 36 cm)

This piece is composed entirely of thread, created through free-motion embroidery and finished with delicate hand beading to introduce depth, light, and subtle texture. There is no printing involved. Every mark is stitched directly into the canvas, resulting in a work that is both tactile and singular.

The design measures approximately A4 (21 × 29.7 cm) and is carefully positioned on an 11 × 14 inch canvas (approx. 28 × 36 cm). This considered spacing allows the composition to breathe, lending the piece a calm, gallery-like presence.

At its centre, a watchful eye rests within radiating stitched lines and symbolic forms, held aloft by a steady hand. A restrained, intentional composition that speaks to inner resource, focus, and the act of creation itself.

Each wall hanging is presented with a wooden magnetic poster-style frame, selected for its clean profile and understated finish. It offers a refined, ready-to-hang presentation that complements the natural qualities of the textile.

Every piece is made slowly and individually in my Cardiff studio. Subtle variations are inherent to the process and form part of the work’s character and authenticity.
